EXHIBIT “A”

DUTIES OF EMPLOYEE

Associate: 

Title:  Assistant Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Work a minimum of 37, maximum of 40 hours per week – assist in covering any shift deemed necessary by Owner

Work 5 days per week. 

Work 3 out of 4 4th quarter Holidays (Day before Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, day before Christmas, Day after Christmas)

Work 2 National Holidays.

Must wear 1 K|LA item per shift.

Be on time and clock in for all shifts, clock out for all breaks taken outside the store and when shifts have ended.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with the Manager to ensure the store provides a consistent and memorable customer experience.

Evaluate merchandise brand performance and inventory levels and provide feedback to the Manager in order to optimize sales and profitability.

Communicate and implement strategies that meet company-merchandising standards including: merchandise flow, inventory control, pricing/markdowns, signage, and visual directives.

Uses good judgment about the company’s objectives in determining solutions to customer service issues.

Proactively generate ideas to develop business opportunities and maximize financial goals.

Utilize sales reports to track, analyze and communicate business results and determine strategies to increase sales.

Assist in Managing the company staff including but not limited to conducting interviews, training, coaching, and keeping up with Employee Weekly Performance

Keep up with cash deposits including recording and communicating to owner nightly cash deposits on a weekly basis, making sure there is the correct amount of change in the drawer at all times, keeping records of petty cash, organizing daily sheets and daily summary by quarters.

 

In the absence of the Owner, maintain current programs for optimal performance practices including: (1) keeping up with Daily Sales ledgers, Employee  weekly Performance , and Daily Duties checklist (2) Use correct forms and procedures and train all employees, to process damaged goods, sales  orders, web orders, and inventory transfers (3) Keep stock room clean, neat and organized in order to optimize replenishment of merchandise.

In conjunction with the Owner, communicate and enforce all loss prevention and safety strategies to protect company assets, associates, and customers.

Ensure all opening and closing duties are performed effectively and that the store is kept clean and organized at all times. 

Assist in the merchandising of the store to achieve company objectives and keep store turnover within company standards. 

Change store mannequins on a frequent basis (at least once a week), making sure mannequins are well accessorized and that the outfits are representative of K|LA’s style. 

Assist Stylists in finding a replacement in case they are not able to work their scheduled shift; should a replacement not be found it is your responsibility to work the shift. 

Communicate and implement sales initiatives and store promotions set forth by headquarters. 

Assist and perform the orientation, on boarding, and training of new sales associates. 

Provide oversight in the training, coaching and motivation of all sales associates to achieve company objectives and meet monthly sales goals. 

Other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION

  1. Hourly Compensation.  

During the Employment Period, Employee shall receive from the Company an hourly wage of $___ per hour, minus applicable withholding, in accordance with the Company’s normal payroll practices.  After 37 hours of work, employee is also eligible to receive a commission on all weekly store sales above goal.

BONUS STRUCTURE

WEEK HOURLY WAGE: $1.00 $2.00 $3.00 $4.00 $5.00

  • Employee will receive $100 KLA bucks per month to spend on self. 
  • Employee will receive $50 KLA bucks for every $500+ sale. 
  • Employee may not participate in store challenges and competitions in which the prize is KLA bucks or a free K|LA item.
  • Employee shall not redeem a discount on items purchased using KLA Bucks
  • Employee shall receive 30% off items that are paid for in cash or credit card
  • Employee can receive an extra 10% off any sale item that is 30-50% off the original price. 
  • Only a Stylist can ring up managers and leads, as only Managers and Leads may ring up Stylists.
  • ALL employee purchases must go in the employee purchase folder and  be initialed.
